All I can say is Wow!!!
This in my mind is prosecution gone crazy. Is this the same group that thought putting Martha Stewart in jail was going to teach some kind of lesson?
Putting this 64 year old man in jail for 6 1/2 years will do nothing to satisfy society. I believe these prosecutors take on these very public celebrities just to furtherer their own careers. They go on witch hunts and spend millions to convict some Celebrity.
Justice is not being served here. Instead of a jail term why don't we ask the share holders if the fine should be 16 million or 30 million (he can afford it) added into their share portfolios instead of the 6 million he is being asked to pay as a fine and make it so Conrad Black would no longer be allowed to take part in any corporate financial transactions. This would be a much better solution In My opinion.
Putting him in jail does nothing for the share holders. and who pays for the cost of his conviction?
